Anti-Hacking & Finding Mastery

In a world abundant with Self-Help bestsellers and the "Life Hacking" movement I wanted to introduce a few of my clinical opinions. Simply put, THERE ARE NO HACKS. This is not an attack on self-help culture or genuine efforts to make progression through life more attainable (I am all for this), it is very much so a statement that hopefully sheds light onto realistic road to goal attainment and a life worth living. We are all unique human beings with a multitude of difference in regards to life circumstance, genetics and temperament; therefore there is no "one size fits all" formula for treatment of mental/integrative health issues or "7 Simple Steps to Ease Depression/10 Exercises that lead to Enlightenment".  This anti-hacking theory is more eloquently reinforced by Dr. Michael Gervais, a human performance practitioner who works with the integrative health of world class athletes and leaders in all arenas of life. The goal for the treatment plans I create WITH my clients is to collaboratively brainstorm solutions leading to progress, potential and possibility. But, the real work I do with my clients lands on them; no are no hacks, pills or easy steps. We are wired for struggle so let's get to work. Check out the Finding Mastery: Conversations with Michael Gervais podcast for more on the anti-hack orientation and inspirational conversations with amazing leaders in optimal human performance. As always, take care of yourself.
