mindfulness training
What if you already possessed a clinically validated tool for managing depression, anxiety, grief, stress, and sleep dysfunction? Mindfulness and breathwork are exactly that. Accessible to everyone, backed by decades of research, and profoundly underutilized.
Mindfulness Training: A Practice for Real Life
Mindfulness isn't about emptying your mind, joining a monastery, or burning incense. It's a learnable, practical skill that changes how you relate to yourself and the world around you. Practiced consistently, it is one of the most powerful tools available for managing the full spectrum of human stress.
I hold certification from the University of Central Florida in Mindfulness and maintain a daily personal practice of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and explorative breathwork. That lived experience informs everything I bring into the therapy room. There's a meaningful difference between a clinician who has studied mindfulness and one who genuinely practices it.
Mindfulness training here may include:
Breath-focused attention and regulation techniques
Body scan and somatic awareness practices
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) principles
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) applications
Developing a personal practice that is creative, consistent, and enjoyable
Mindfulness is never imposed. For clients who are open to it, however, the results are consistently transformative. There is no doing it wrong, no prior experience required, and no single tradition you need to subscribe to. It is simply the practice of paying attention — and it can change everything.
